The drug belongs to the group of vitamin preparations. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin belonging to the group of B vitamins. Biotebal is used in biotin deficiency. The drug can be used in cases resulting from biotin deficiency: hair loss, nail and hair growth disorders and their excessive brittleness, as well as inflammatory conditions of the skin located around the eyes, nose, mouth. Biotin supports the processes of keratin formation and differentiation of epidermal cells as well as hair and nails, improving their condition.

Warnings and Precautions
You should discuss this with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Biotebal.
Biotebal and other drugs
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking
currently or recently, and any medications you plan to take.
Biotin affects some assay methods, that is, it may distort some laboratory test results, but it does not affect the actual values for hormones, factors, parameters, and drugs in the blood. Therefore, before performing tests (such as. If you are taking Biotebal (e.g., FT4, FT3, 25(OH)D, cortisol, digoxin, TSH, hCG, troponin, PSA), it is recommended that you discontinue Biotebal 3 days prior to the scheduled test unless otherwise directed by the laboratory. Also be aware that other products you take, such as multivitamins or dietary supplements used to improve hair, skin and nails, may also contain biotin and affect your lab results.
Anticonvulsant drugs (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, primidone) cause a decrease in biotin blood levels.
Steroid hormones may accelerate the breakdown of biotin in tissues.
Biotebal with food, drink and alcohol
Do not eat raw egg white at the same time while taking this medicine, as this may inhibit the absorption of biotin.
Alcohol decreases the concentration of biotin in the blood.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy
The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal far exceeds the recommended daily allowance for women
pregnancy, therefore the drug should not be used in women during this period.
Breastfeeding
The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal far exceeds the recommended daily intake for breastfeeding women. Biotin passes into human milk, but has not been found to affect a breastfed infant. The drug should not be used in women who are breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machinery
The properties of biotin and the type of side effects found indicate that the drug does not adversely affect the performance of these activities.
